I’m Ray, founder of Reddin Builders and a licensed Michigan residential builder.

I got into homes from a few different angles. I became a homeowner young, developed a background in design, and spent years doing hands-on residential work—from maintenance and repairs to renovations. Over time, those experiences came together and eventually led me to become a licensed builder and start Reddin Builders.

Being a homeowner early taught me to look at projects from the owner’s side—the money, the decisions, what’s worth doing, and what isn’t. Design taught me to look beyond simply fixing or replacing something and see what a space could become. Working in the field taught me what it actually takes to make it happen.

That combination shapes how I approach building today. I look at a project from both sides: how it should look and function, and how it needs to be built. It’s not just about having a good idea or knowing how to build. The two have to work together.

Today, Reddin Builders handles remodeling and residential construction throughout Metro Detroit, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, cabinetry and storage, renovations, and residential building.

Good ideas are one thing. Knowing how to turn them into a finished home is another. That’s what we do.
